The update is based on MIUI 11 and not the latest MIUI 12 that is in stage 2 rollout. So you will get the Android 10 update and all of its goodies, but not the latest MIUI 12 firmware. Instead, you will get MIUI 11. Apart from that, Xiaomi has named the latest update as “stable beta” and not a proper stable. The software version of the new build is V11.0.2.0.QFGxxXM, and it bumps the Android security patch level to June 2020.

How to update Redmi Note 7/7S to Android 10 via MIUI 11?

• After you have downloaded the file. Go to Settings > About phone > System update and click on the MIUI logo 7-8 times to access recovery options.
• Stay on the same screen, click on the three-dot menu on the top right and go to Choose update package. Now, navigate to the downloaded file, select the .zip file and hit OK when prompted.
• The phone will verify the files and will start to update it can take a few minutes. The phone might restart on its own let it finish doing the installation process, after which you can use MIUI 11.
