How to Update Magisk ZIP and Magisk App (without TWRP)

In this tutorial, we will show you the steps to update Magisk ZIP and Magisk app without using TWRP Recovery. The best thing about it is that you don’t need to flash any files, all the steps will be done by Magisk Manager app itself. Among the many customizations you can try, rooting your device is possible. While flashing custom ROMs, custom recoveries like TWRP and mods are all well and good, but access to administrative rights is the icing on the cake.

In this regard, Magisk is now the preferred way to root any Android device. Gone are the days of rooting via SuperSU, but why the change? Well, the reason is that Magisk does its work without any system, as a result, your system partition remains untouched. Then, the fact that it comes with a lot of useful modules that can be flashed directly from the app adds some brownie points. However, with every major Android upgrade, there are some major fundamental changes.

And this time is no different. For the uninitiated, Magisk uses the /tmpfs directory to perform most of its operations. However, currently, the /sbin subdirectory is no longer available. So now Magisk will create a folder under the /dev partition and then do its thing. With that said, let’s proceed with the guide to update Magisk ZIP and Magisk app without using TWRP recovery.
