Like every year, many OEMs (smartpone makers) have now stepped up and released Android 13 beta or developer previews for their respective devices. These include Asus, OnePlus, OPPO, Realme, Sharp, TCL, Tecno, Vivo, Xiaomi, ZTE, Samsung and more Android devices. Here, download Android 13 for all Android devices.
The main focus of Android 13 is to create a secure environment on the device with more controls for users to “privacy and security”. It also includes the following features:
- More Customization with the new Material You design
- Enhanced privacy and security
- Improved Copy and Paste
- Fewer Notifications
- Better Tablet Support
- Quick QR Code Scanner
- Improved Media Player
- Smart-Home Controls on the Lock Screen
- Double Tap for Flashlight
- Bluetooth LE Audio Support
- Encrypted Group Chats
- Different Languages for Apps
- The New Google Wallet
Another big focus of Android 13 is the addition of new tools for app developers. The ability of third party apps to create themed icons, previously only available through Pixel Launcher and first party Google services, is special. Developers only need one monochrome app icon (and adapt their adaptive icon XML). Google encourages all apps to do so and is working with OEMs to do just that.
Other features include allowing applications to create system dialogs with unique Quick Settings tiles that users can add with a single tap, setting all languages, and fast hyphenation.
Android 13 for all smartphones from OEMs
Most device makers have their own version of the Android 12 software. Because OEMs apply their skin over Android, they usually have their respective beta programs or developer preview bids. These include OnePlus’s Oxygen OS 13 (or Color OS 13), Xiaomi’s MIUI 13/14, OPPO’s ColorOS 13, Realme’s Realme OS or Origin OS, and more.
According to the timeline, the last release of Android 13 will be for Pixel devices in August 2022 or later. Third party OEMs are now working on a developer preview or beta release. You can register or download the complete stock firmware directly from OEM respository.pages.
