Asus Zenfone 8 gets Stable Android 12 Update

Android 12 is now the latest Android update that is gradually coming to all eligible devices. Many OEMs have released the Android 12 beta for their devices, as well as the stable Android 12. Especially when it comes to the stable Android 12, only Samsung and OnePlus have been able to do that (of course Google is the first). And now Asus has also joined the list for Zenfone 8 with stable Android 12.
Asus has started rolling out stable Android 12 on Zenfone 8 devices. About a few weeks ago, Asus shared Android 12 rollout plans for its devices. And as Asus promised, the stable Android 12 for Zenfone 8 is now available. The Zenfone 8 is Asus’ latest flagship device and the first Asus phone to have a stable Android 12. According to the Android 12 Roadmap, the Zenfone 8 Flip could also get a stable Android 12 by the end of this year.

According to the source, XDA is rolling out Asus Zenfone 8 Android 12 with update number 31.1004.0404.55. And the size of the update is about 1 GB. It is being released for Zenfone 8 users who are currently on a stable channel. If you have opted for beta, it may take some time for stable Android 12 to arrive on your phone.

Talking about the new features, it brings a new Material You theme similar to Google Pixel phones. We do not currently have the full official Zenfone 8 Android 12 changelog, but parts of it are available.

  • Revamped Mobile Manager, Contacts, Phone, File Manager, Calculator, Clock, Gallery, Weather, Sound recorder, Settings, Data Transfer, Local Backup, Setup wizard, System update app.
  • Adjusted Quick Settings panel, notification tray, and volume panel to Android 12 design.

Stable Android for Zenfone 8 is coming in 12 batches. Some users have already received the Android 12 update on their Zenfone 8, while others will get it in the next few days. If you do not receive an update notification, you can also manually check for updates in the Software Updates section under Settings.
