Apple pushes iOS 15.4 Beta 1 and iPadOS 15.4 Beta 1

After releasing iOS 15.3 and iPadOS 15.3 updates to the public yesterday, Apple today released iOS 15.4 beta 1 and iPadOS 15.4 beta 1. The last iOS 15.3 was a much-needed update to fix some major vulnerabilities. But it did not bring any entertainment features. And it looks like it’s loaded in iOS 15.4 Beta 1 and iPadOS 15.4 Beta 1. This came as a surprise as many of us did not expect an update immediately after the release of iOS 15.3. But that’s not a new thing we’ve seen from Apple. The first beta of iOS 15.4 and iPadOS 15.4 looks big in terms of new features and changes. So it will be fun to check out the new update and its features.

Apple has also released macOS Monterey 12.3 Beta 1, tvOS 15.4 Beta 1, watchOS 8.5 Beta 1 with iOS 15.4 Beta 1 and iPadOS 15.4 Beta 1. The new update weighs about 4-6GB, so be sure to use WiFi for updates. Both iOS 15.4 Beta 1 and iPadOS 15.4 Beta 1 carries build number 19E5209h.

As for the new features, the new update brings a new modem update that fixes network and connectivity issues. Face ID with Mask is now available on iPhone 12 or later and works without Apple Watch. iOS 15.3 also comes with a new Wallet widget and several new emojis.

Universal control is also available for macOS and iPadOS. It lets you control iPads and Macs with the same trackpad and keyboard. It works with macOS 12.3 beta 1 and iPadOS 15.4 beta 1. The iPadOS 15.4 beta 1 also gets keyboard LED brightness control in the control center. Now it also supports PS5 DualSense Adaptive Triggers.

iOS 15.4 Beta 1 and iPadOS 15.4 Beta 1 are now available to developers. It will be released to the public beta testers soon. So if you have a beta profile installed on your iPhone or iPad, you will get the first beta on your device. If you are on the public build, you need to install a beta profile to test iOS 15.4 beta 1 and iPadOS 15.4 beta.

You can manually check for the update by going to Settings > General > Software Update. Before updating your iPhone or iPad make sure to charge it at 50% and take backup. As it is a beta update there can be some bugs.
